Perhaps, but bolted-down guass cannons are not easily obtained and set up. And though the table was fold-out, that isn't something you come by magically, especially considering the utter destruction of HIGHCOM. My opinion is that this is one of several fall back positions, and that it was overlooked as a true option because no one really thought the Covenant would attack Reach. | |||

And i think that the spartans would be able to carry gauss guns.
