I think we should wait to make the separate achievement pages, at least until we get images for each one or the game comes out. Additionally, I have linked to several redirects in this article that happen to have the same title as an achievement (such as Chieftain of the Brutes). When we do get around to creating articles for each one, I think we should simply use the redirect for the achievement's article and provide a "Were you looking for..." at the top linking to the page the redirect was formerly directing to. - NightHammer (talk) 01:00, 11 October 2014 (EDT)

:I agree. Having a list should be fine for now. -- SFH (talk) 01:31, 11 October 2014 (EDT)

I was wondering if we could just avoid making separate, individual pages for achievements and just place redirects to this hub article. It seems that the current gaming development practice when it comes to achievements (at least for 343i) is to oversupply the achievements to a point of redundancy. Achievements such as as "Complete [INSERT LEVEL HERE]", "Get [X] points/kills" and my personal peeve "Win [X] multiplayer games" are content that do not need their own articles since they are evidently self-explanatory from the title of the achievements. The only achievements that do need their own articles are the ones that require careful and/or specific instructions in order to achieve that achievement. Looking at the current list for MCC, I don't see any worthwhile achievements that needs an article save for the "Mystery Achievement". — <span style="font-size:14px; font-family:Arial;"><span style="color:#FF4F00;">subtank</span></span>  03:33, 1 November 2014 (EDT)
:I agree in concept, but maybe not quite to that degree. Maybe all of the "Complete [INSERT LEVEL HERE]" or Chips Dubbo sort of achievements could get one single article for each group of them? One page would get very crowded with 400 pictures (even as thumbnails), and all the trivia entries for all the references to other things or whatever else. :Barring concerns for page size, we could use the feature list template for each individual achievement warranting a guide or special notes instead of having to create more articles.
::What about having different sub-pages for each game? Like "List of Achievements for Halo: The Master Chief Collection" followed by /Halo 2, /Halo 3, /Halo 4, /Halo 2 Anniversary, etc. You could sum up a trillion achievements into different pages of a more "regular" length. It would also be more practical if we want to add the images for each achievements. (It would be a shame to drop them simply because there cannot be too many images on a single page) Of course, the achievements that are self-explanatory wouldn't have their own pages; old Halo 3 achievements and the like would redirect to the already existing pages; and some new achievements might get their own pages, if need be. :::I'll address each replies accodingly:
:::@AlexTSnow: So, essentially having this article linking to a hub article for a collection of achievements? I don't think that would be of any use since that would just be repeating the same content.
:::@Helianthus: I've considered using the featurelist and the tabbed box (see Data Drop for example) but both forms of presentation are incompatible when you view them in mobile theme, especially tabbed box where the styling is stripped from its coding. Featurelist works well-ish: it does well with wall of text and bullet-points but not tables. I'm thinking of using the Lvl 2 Headings (H2) to remedy this, which works with all themes when it comes to tables.
:::@Imrane-117: See my comments above as well as my initial comment on "achievements that need articles". Also, that's not a bad idea... We should most definitely do that for this particular type of article.— <span style="font-size:14px; font-family:Arial;"><span style="color:#FF4F00;">subtank</span></span>  11:53, 2 November 2014 (EST)
::::I can agree with this to some sense. Specifically, we could have one page for the par score achievements, one for the par time, one for the collect medals, one for the win # games, one for terminals, and maybe one for the complete playlists. I can't seem to come up with a good name for these pages, though. I think we should definitely have one of these pages per game within the collection, to give space for gameplay tips or trivia that are unique to each game and don't necessarily apply to all four. I'd consider having single pages per game for complete level achievements, but we already have most of those anyway from their original appearances, so we might as well stick with that. --<span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:13pt;color:blue;"> Rusty</span><span style="font-size:13pt;color:red;">-</span><span style="font-family:Arial;font-size:13pt;color:blue;">112</span> <span style="color:red; font-family:Arial">Admin</span> <font color="blue">comm</font> 23:46, 3 November 2014 (EST)
Images
I know that some of these images have already been uploaded, but I'm pretty sure it's not the case for all of them. I'm keeping this link here, just in case. It might also be useful for other articles that have nothing to do with the achievements, I see several good illustrations for other things. http://imgur.com/a/a04ys (These are images for TMCC's achievements, in case you hadn't seen them yet). == Short 10 points ==
I was adding the achievements to my achievement-tracking Excel spreadsheet and the count was 400, but the sum came up 3990, meaning that an achievement is under-scored by 10. It's late here, otherwise I'd check for it myself. *passes out* --WTRiker (talk) 01:50, 31 October 2014 (EDT)
*Found it. Medal Completionist was shorted 10 points. --WTRiker (talk) 14:15, 31 October 2014 (EDT)
Time to update?
So I can add every single picture for all the achievements. Of course, that would mean separating this page into different pages, as suggested earlier (/Halo: Combat Evolved, /Halo 2, /Halo 2 Anniversary, /Halo 3...). "General" achievements would be kept on the current page, and then the rest of the list would be something like
Halo 2
Main article: List of Achievements for Halo: The Master Chief Collection/Halo 2
Note that, from what I've understood, the current page isn't even complete, because 343i have added 50 new achievements via an update when the game was released (I've noticed it when I was searching for the achievements involving shooting soda cans; they are absent on our current Halopedia list, but definitely exist...). :I really don't know how to deal with this format so I'm of no help to updating, but for now you can see what the new achievements are though the source link for it. Alex T Snow (talk) 17:00, 20 November 2014 (EST)
