Spike turrets are automated emplacements primarily used for the defence of [[Banished outpost]]s on the ground. As standard, up to four spike turrets can be built on any outpost, with a dedicated slot provided at each of the four corners of the base. The turret itself sits atop four legs, and is able to rotate 360<sup>o</sup> around the base to provide full overlapping fields of fire alongside other defences.
