Put simply, Season 3 is focusing on unlocking cosmetics for the Mirage IIC armor core, which is a MJOLNIR successor/hybrid with the Semi-Powered Infiltration lineup of armor used by Spartans and prototyped by ODSTs before that. So I figure that this season would be an ideal season to have an event focused on the Headhunters aspect of the Spartan legacy and introduce some SPI Gen-1 armor options for use on the Mirage armor core.
Specifically the ODST SPI and SPI Mk.1 renditions depicted in the image below of Spartans Roland-B210 and Jonah-B283.
I can easily see such an event giving us a 10-tier pass wherein we unlock the Armor Kits for Roland and Jonah, and the even pass focusing on giving us the Helmet, Chest, and Shoulders of Spartan Jonah-B283 as "SPI Mk.1" armor; with the remaining tiers of the event pass giving us Headhunter themed emblem, weapon skins, and armor kits for Roland and Jonah for the Mirage IIC armor core. Meanwhile, knowing 343's marketing team; they would likely put the armor assets of Spartan Roland-B210 in a separate bundle and call it "Prototype Phase" in order to sell us the Helmet, Chest, Shoulders, Maroon Armor Coating, Gloves, and Knees of Rolands "ODST SPI" armor set.
