A plasma lance is a kind of energy projector employed by Covenant starships as an ultra-heavy anti-ship weapon. Plasma lances fire tightly-focused streams of plasma at their enemies, dealing a great deal of kinetic and thermal damage. At close range, plasma lances are capable of cutting un-shielded warships in half.[1]
Known types
- Ignis-pattern - Used on the Ket-pattern CCS-class battlecruisers.
Light plasma lances
- Emri Ka-pattern - Used on the Mutan Et-pattern DAS-class storm cutter.
Heavy plasma lances
- Ventrax-pattern - Used on the Varric-pattern ORS-class heavy cruiser.
Superheavy plasma lances
- Urpeon-pattern - Used on the Kerel-pattern CAS-class assault carrier.
