The Type-58 Plasma Caster[1] is a Sangheili infantry weapon.
Design details
The Plasma Caster fires multiple explosive plasma projectiles. The Plasma Caster has two firing modes. When firing rapidly, the Plasma Caster shoots balls of plasma in a slight arc, which can bounce off objects before detonating. While holding the fire button, the Plasma Caster's side panels deploy out wards, firing a single charged shot which yields a larger explosion with more range compared to the previous firing mode. While charge firing, the Plasma Caster's projectiles can stick to any object, including other players.
