Shadows is the twenty-fourth track in Halo: Original Soundtrack.
Shadows is a song included in the Halo: Original Soundtrack.

Overview
It is notably the shortest song in the Halo: Original Soundtrack. Its first heard in Halo: Combat Evolved during the opening cut scene of Halo. Slight variations of some of the strings are heard throughout the course of the game, and in part of Truth and Reconciliation Suite. In Halo 2 and Halo 3 the same variations of the strings are heard and are normally played when Flood are either nearby or attacking, featured in the songs Shudder, Gravemind, and the last movement of Halo Reborn, which is played during the battle with 343 Guilty Spark.
The track is notably the shortest track in the Halo: Original Soundtrack. The piece begins with high strings, followed by siren sound effects (like those heard in Truth and Reconciliation Suite), with percussion fading in, and finally joined by electric guitar. In-game, only the siren sounds were used.

The soundtrack can be heard:
*Halo: CE: on levels Halo, 343 Guilty Spark, The Library, and throughout the game.
*In the level Halo, during the opening cutscene.
*Halo 2: on the level The Oracle, and Sacred Icon.
*In the level The Library, when John-117 holds position at a locked door on the third floor of the Library.
*Halo 3: on levels The Covenant, and Cortana.

*Shudder in Mausoleum Suite of Halo 2: Original Soundtrack.
*Gravemind of Halo 3: Original Soundtrack.

*Between Beams of Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary Original Soundtrack.
