The Scatterbound Heatwave is variant of the standard Heatwave. In addition to having a white chassis, its fires modified and repurposed [[Z-180 Scattershot]] rounds, which seek out targets after a ricochet.{{Ref/Reuse|gameplay}}

In campaign, the Scatterbound Heatwave is a [[Legendary variant weapons|legendary weapon]] awarded to the player after defeating the [[High Value Target]], [[Ordo 'Mal]]. The weapon can be acquired at any [[Forward Operating Base]] within the campaign. It fires projectiles that travel faster and seek out targets after bouncing off surfaces.{{Ref/Reuse|gameplay}} It can also be found in a secret tunnel near Outpost Tremonious that is guarded by a cloaked Elite.
