Following the end of the Covenant War, SPARTAN-G059 served the [[Office of Naval Intelligence]], embarking on covert high-profile [[operation]]s. On [[2558#January|January 21, 2558]], [[Section Three]] of ONI deployed SPARTAN-G059 aboard {{Class|Winter|prowler}} {{UNSCShip|From the Ashes}} on an operation to [[New Llanelli]] in the [[Brunel system]] to [[Assassination of Avu Med 'Telcam|assassinate]] [[Avu Med 'Telcam]], leader of the [[Servants of the Abiding Truth]]. Arriving at 'Telcam's whereabouts in the remains of a city on the planet, ''From the Ashes'' deployed SPARTAN-G059 to the outskirts of the city, where the Spartan snuck past [[Unggoy]] guards and eliminated two [[Kig-Yar]] scouts. Using a [[Type-52 Phantom]] as a brief means of transportation, the Spartan destroyed a [[Type-26 Shade]] and broke through a window leading to 'Telcam's position, where the [[Sangheili]] conversed with two subordinates. After quickly eliminating the Sangheili guards, SPARTAN-G059 engaged 'Telcam himself, narrowly avoiding his [[Type-51 carbine]] fire. The Spartan forced the Sangheili to take cover within a [[Z-4190 bubble shield|bubble shield]] with a [[M9 fragmentation grenade|fragmentation grenade]], allowing SPARTAN-G059 to rush 'Telcam and knock the rifle from his hands. 'Telcam slammed the Spartan into a wall, cracking the Spartan's helmet, though SPARTAN-G059 recovered and maneuvered around 'Telcam using agility and armor thrusters, eventually knocking the Sangheili to the ground. As 'Telcam picked himself up, SPARTAN-G059 finally executed him himself with a single [[M6 series|pistol]] shot to the head. Afterwards, the Spartan was extracted by ''From the Ashes'' and entered [[slipstream space]] to partake in a new operation.<ref name="tfs"/>
