Overview
The track features the triplet rhythm from the Halo Theme, accompanied by an electric guitar playing improvisations over the triplet rhythm. The piece was arranged into Rock in a Hard Place in Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary: Original Soundtrack.

Rock Anthem for Saving the World is a piece included in the Halo: Original Soundtrack.

Appearances
Appearances
It can be heard:
*In the level The Silent Cartographer, just after John-117 exits the facility after activating the Cartographer.
*In the level Assault on the Control Room, at the base of the Control Room, though only the initial part of the piece is heard.
*In the level Two Betrayals, when John-117 has climbed down to the base of the Control Room.
*In the Halo 3: ODST level Coastal Highway, when the players walk down the first off-ramp to acquire the M41 SPNKR and M274 Mongooses for the achievement Vidmaster Challenge: Deja Vu.

Production notes
It is heard in its full form on Silent Cartographer just after the Master Chief has activated the map. The initial part of the piece is later heard at the base of the Control Room on the level Assault on the Control Room. It also begins playing when the bottom of the control room is reached on the level Two Betrayals. It is also considered the main theme for the games, although it only appears in this arrangement on the Halo: CE soundtrack. It does reappear in the Halo 2 soundtrack, on the songs Reclaimer and Unyielding, and again on the Halo 3: Original Soundtrack in the track To Kill a Demon.
It runs for 1:18, but is also listed as being 1:17 seconds long, a reference to John-117. As such, the soundtrack has the same length with We're Not Going Anywhere, Prepare to Drop, and Remembrance.

It runs for 1:20, but is also listed as being 1:17 seconds long, a reference to the Master Chief.

Trivia
*The song is the same length as Prepare to Drop and Remembrance, at 1:17.
*In Halo 3: ODST Campaign, at the Coastal Highway level, before driving the Warthog, if you enter the frontal nearby underground passage, the exact same theme will play. Additionally, in the same zone, there are several rocket launchers with 998 ammo. However, this only occurs if playing with 4 people in Co-Op mode on Xbox Live.
