The Riven variant of the Manger bears a painted white colouration, and fires three split-shard spike projectiles when the trigger is pulled. It has a lower rate of fire than a standard Mangler.{{Ref/Reuse|Support}}

One such weapon was used by [[Balkarus]], a [[Jiralhanae]] [[Captain (Covenant)|Captain]] in the [[Banished]] during the [[Battle for Zeta Halo|campaign]] on [[Installation 07]] in [[2559]]-[[2560]].{{Ref/Game|HI|[[High Value Target]] dossier, Balkarus}} During the campaign, he used the weapon in a combat encounter with [[John-117]], though was defeated by the [[SPARTAN-II program|Spartan]].{{Ref/Quest|HI|Connections|Balkarus}}

In campaign, the Riven Mangler is a [[Special weapons (Halo Infinite)|special weapon]] awarded to the player after defeating the [[High Value Target]], [[Balkarus]]. The weapon can be acquired at any [[Forward Operating Base]] within the campaign. It fires three spike projectiles with each trigger pull (killing a fully-shielded Spartan with 4 shots instead of 3 shots), with a lower rate of fire than a standard Mangler.{{Ref/Reuse|Support}}
