==History==
The Destroyer was only seen during the Battle of the Flood-controlled Shield World. It was sent to intercept the {{UNSCShip|Spirit of Fire}}, engaging the [[Human]] ship almost immediately upon its entrance to the [[Shield World (Halo_Wars)|Shield World]]. Despite attempted maneuvers the two ships collided, causing significant damage to the ''Spirit'', including destroying a portion of its supply of [[Pod]]s, while minimal damage was done to the Destroyer, due in part to its shields. The two ships soon opened fire on each other, the Destroyer quickly destroying many of the ''Spirit of Fire's'' deck guns.<ref name="freefall"/> It soon sent out [[Banshee]]s and [[Type-25 Troop Carrier]]s to continue the assault and destroy the ''Spirit of Fire's'' damaged power core. However, the ''Spirit of Fire'', despite the heavy assault, managed to repair its power core and escape.<ref name="repairs"/>

The Destroyer's ultimate fate is unknown. It might very well have been the ship ferrying the [[High Prophet of Regret]] back to ''[[High Charity (Structure)|High Charity]]''.
