The Machete was a Human melee weapon that was going to be added in Halo PC. However, it was a pre-Xbox render that was deleted after the end of the production.

Theories
*A possible reason for the Machete not being in the Halo games was that you would be using a sword on enemies wearing strong armor. If you were to strike them, logically then the sword would just bend, or even break, unless it was made of titanium or carbon.

Trivia
*It is possible that the Brute Shot's blade was Bungie's modest way of compensating for the machete's deletion.
*The Energy Sword was probably going to be the counterpart of the Machete.
*It could also be a variant of the Combat Knife.
*It can still be seen in the difficulty display, on Normal, Heroic, and Legendary.
