PP-16979/AM-Sh are not fielded with the BA-53635/PLMD often due to logistic issues.{{Ref/Reuse|BNSL}}

It recharges the integrated non-replaceable [[BA-53635/PLMD]] battery of the Spartan Laser. However, UNSC logistics are insufficient to provide rechargers in the field so most Spartan Laser units are not accompanied with a PP-16979/AM-Sh recharger. Therefore, it has a limited use before discarding.
