'''Ota Gallo''' was a former agent of the [[Office of Naval Intelligence]]. Prior to October [[2553]] Gallo began working for [[Dark Moon Enterprises]].<ref name="necessary"/>

While original working for ONI, around [[2553]], Gallo began working for a private-security corporation known as Dark Moon Enterprises. At some point she contacted [[Spencer Hume]], an investigative journalist who had recently been writing exposés on the [[UNSC]]. Gallo fed Hume information on the [[SPARTAN-III program]], particularly [[Gamma company]] in an attempt to hurt ONI. On October 14, Gallo infiltrated the Officer's club at [[UNSC Recreational Facility 6055-NA-A]] on [[Neos Atlantis]], disguised as a server. Hume spotted [[Olivia-G291]] and started talking to her, Olivia was undercover in an ONI training exercise, so she played along. During this time Gallo spotted [[Veta Lopis]], and recommended the [[Titan Smoke]] whiskey, while Lopis wanted a [[two-tailed comet]]. Lopis thought it was odd that a bar server didn't know the difference between a rocks glass and a doffer, but wrote it off as inexperience. Gallo later brought Hume a bottle of [[zantelle]] laced with [[nicothiotal]], intending to drug Olivia in an effort to get information on the SPARTAN-IIIs, and brought Veta a dark, coppery liquid. Unfortunately for Hume and Gallo, Olivia was with a team, her leader, Lopis, realized what was going on and ordered [[Mark-G313]] to get Hume out of the bar. She tried to delay Mark by walking in front of him with a tray of drinks, but Mark shove the tray into her chest and tripped her. Gallo's response, slapping her arms out and tucking her chin, reminded Veta of hand-to-hand combat training. Mark managed to capture Hume and headed for the emergency exit. Taking the server to be a part of their training exercise, Veta posed as a member of the [[Criminal Investigation Division]], and had two [[Ensign]]s hold Gallo as a witness to Olivia being drugged.  

However, Gallo managed to escape and went after Mark and Hume with a knife, Mark didn't see Gallo coming as Hume was resisting. Mark instinctively used Hume as a shield to block the knife, when Hume continued to resist Mark punched him in the chest, killing him. By that time [[Ash-G099]] had showed up and Gallo retreated after throwing her knife at Ash. Mark and Ash disposed of Hume's body out an airlock and cleaned the scene. Veta and her team later discovered that Gallo was formerly ONI and had joined Dark Moon after running Gallo's picture through ONI's [[Facial Recognition Database]]. Not wanting to let Gallo escape with information on the SPARTAN-IIIs, Veta lured Gallo to their hotel suite with Hume's [[COM pad]]. Gallo attacked the room with two other men, the men were quickly taken down by Mark and Ash. Gallo then threw a grenade in the room, which injured Olivia, but not before Olivia threw a knife at Gallo, killing her. Later upon meeting up with [[Serin Osman]], Veta framed Gallo for Hume's murder, claiming Hume was going to name Gallo as his source and Gallo wanted to prevent that.<ref name="necessary"/>
