Their [[D77-TC Pelican]] was shot down over [[Old Mombasa]] by a {{Pattern|Protos|Scarab}}. The dropship made a crash-landing on a beach outside of [[Hotel Zanzibar]]; O'Brien was killed during the crash. His death was announced by [[Fones]].{{Ref/Reuse|beach}}
