Summary
The NAV marker transmitter is a small ground tracking device of the United Nations Space Command.
Small device, relatively the size of a tick. These NAV marker transmitters were, in effect, tracking devices used by the UNSC. They could be ahdered to an object and would broadcast the location of that object to a Heads-Up Display calibrated to their frequency.

They are small devices, relatively the size of a tick, and can be discreetly attached to an object. The transmitter will then broadcast the location of that object to a nearby UNSC heads-up display calibrated to their frequency.
The Spartans used these objects often when tracking things.

NAV marker transmitters have been used by SPARTAN-IIs during their operations, such as the raid on the URF's base Eridanus Secundus.
