This may be due to Cortana's interpretation of the data she possessed on the Forerunner-Flood war, however, as Mendicant Bias is shown to have used two distinct symbols in the terminals on Installation 00. The same symbol is later seen flashing in Cortana's eye toward the end of ''Origins''.
