If a player is stuck with a Plasma Grenade, thrusting into a wall with side stuck with the grenade facing a wall can allow you to survive, presumably by forcing the grenade through the wall, protecting the player from the explosion. Thrusting while in mid-air will speed one's descent, providing a small advantage when fleeing off of a ledge and onto a lower platform. Perhaps most notable is variety of tricks with man cannons and lifts one can perform with the Thruster pack.
