===Design Details===
The M6C PDWS is a semi-automatic sidearm utilized by the [[United Nations Space Command]]. The M6C is a departure from other designs in the [[M6 Series]]. While it retains the large handguard and ridges on the rear slide, the M6C's safety mechanism is located on the slide itself rather than below it on other models.

Although less powerful and effective than other UNSC sidearms, the M6C sees continued use due to its resilience and reliability coupled with a comfortable and compact design alongside being highly affordable and easy to produce. {{Ref/Book|Id=HEnc22|Enc22|Section=Magnum|Page=164}} 

===Usage===
The M6C was used by UNSC personnel as early as 2525.{{Ref/Film|Id=HLTD|Film=Halo Legends|Story=Homecoming}} Use of the M6C continued through the [[Human-Covenant War]], and it was used by UNSC Navy and Marine Corps personnel aboard the [[Spirit of Fire]] and during the early stages of the [[Battle for Earth]] and [[Battle of Installation 05]]. {{Ref/Game|H2}}

==Gameplay==

===Advantages===
The M6C Magnum is a reliable sidearm for quickly finishing off enemies whose shields have already been stripped. With the new dual-wield feature in Halo 2, the Magnum can be used in the [[Noob Combo]] alongside a plasma pistol, enabling the player to quickly drain an enemy's shields using the plasma pistol's overcharge and finish them off with a headshot from the Magnum. 

===Disadvantages===
The M6C Magnum boasts low damage and is fairly inaccurate and is largely ineffective past close or medium range. These factors make the Magnum a poor choice for use in one-on-one fights with shielded opponents unless the player is capable of first draining the opponent's shields with a grenade or melee attack.
