At the orders of [[High Lord]] [[Mken 'Scre'ah'ben]], Kucknoi and the rest of the researching team retreated from Site One and returned to the [[Anodyne Spirit|Forerunner Dreadnought]] orbiting the planet. As he returned to the [[keyship]] in a shuttle, Mken contacted Kucknoi, the latter being surprised that the High Lord had given orders for the Dreadnought to fire upon the Forerunner structure. Mken assured him that the keyship's weaponry would not harm the structure, only kill the [[Sangheili]] troops at the site.
