The Kill Ball is a large ball of energy that encompasses a core ball (whose diameter is about twice that of a Mongoose's wheel). The "shell" does not collide with terrain, but the core does.
 
In ''Halo 5: Guardians'', the Kill Ball has two additional variants: An invisible (but not silent) version and a plasma version that deals  gradual damage, killing a player after about three seconds of exposure. All three variations also come with 1/5-scale "junior" sizes that are not any less deadly.
