Jiles did all he could to help repair the vessels before the Covenant attacked. The humans were able to hold of one cruiser, but when 30 arrived, there was no way to win and suvrvive if Whitcomb had stayed. Unfortunately the [[Covenant]] attacked before then. Governor Jiles is assumed killed when the vessel was forced to retreat from the area. |
