The blockade runners were first used by the [[Sangheili]] against the [[San'Shyuum]] during the [[War of Beginnings]]. One legendary blockade runner, ''[[Joori's Light]]'', succeeded in evading destruction and capture at the hands of the San'Shyuum during the war.
