Vehicles
Vehicles
Many vehicles were cut during the production of Combat Evolved. See here for a full list.
Forerunner Tank
The Forerunner Tank was a proposed vehicle. It was concepted by Marcus Lehto as a heavy vehicle intended for use by the Forerunners. Whether the vehicle progressed beyond the concept phase or reached any active development is unknown.

Covenant bomber
Designed by Shi Kai Wang and Paul Russel. The Covenant bomber was a Covenant unit.

Hummer
The "Hummer" (officially designated in the RTS build as "scoutcar") was an early version of the Warthog, designed and discarded by Bungie. It was used in an early 100 polygon build of Halo: Combat Evolved based on their previous game Myth. It was based on the real world Humvee/HMMWV and featured a pair of roof-mounted machine guns.

Weapons
Weapons
Many weapons were concepted and created for earlier revisions of Combat Evolved. For a full breakdown, see here.
Gravity rifle
The gravity rifle is an unused weapon. The model is still in the game's code, though it does not feature a proper texture, first- person model, or projectile. It is possible to use the gravity rifle in Halo: Custom Edition on certain maps using the devmode command cheat_all_weapons. There is no animation for it being fired, but it will create a bright flash when shot. The weapon produces flames on its target. Despite having no reticule or scope, the weapon is extremely accurate. Also, it has unlimited ammunition, due to it not having a coded magazine.

Gravity wrench
The gravity wrench was a deleted Covenant weapon intended for an early version of 'the game. It may have also inspired the plasma pistol, as the weapon must first be charged, and then will fire a strong ball of energy. In addition to that, it appears to act like an early version of the flamethrower, or other support weapons.

Pattern-2 Composite Sword
The Pattern-2 Composite Sword, more commonly known as the machete, was a melee weapon that was originally planned to be included in Halo: Combat Evolved. It was deleted before the final game was released; the final product has no melee-specific weaponry, the player can perform a 'pistol whip' or 'buttstroke' attack with any weapon.

The machete shown on the Normal, Heroic, and Legendary difficulty icons for the Halo games appears to have been modeled after the Pattern-2 Composite Sword.

Threeleg
Threeleg
The Threeleg was an ambient lifeform intended to inhabit Installation 04 in Halo: Combat Evolved. As its name suggests, it was a tripodal organism, with three powerful legs and two smaller arms. It appears to have had an exoskeleton, and at least two eyes.
