Description
Grenade sniping is a tactic whereby players shoot grenades in Halo 3 with a sniper rifle or Beam Rifle, causing them to explode prematurely.

Uses
*If avoiding a grenade is not feasible, shooting the grenade will prevent it from damaging you.
*It is possible, although extremely difficult, to damage an enemy vehicle with a fragmentation grenade by throwing it near the enemy vehicle and shooting it.
*This strategy can help you in multiplayer to explode approaching grenades from a distance.

Trivia
*This can be extremely hard to execute, due to the difficulty in shooting the grenade.
*This is normally done with a Frag Grenade, since others are generally not solid enough for this trick.  But any grenade can be sniped.
*Spike grenades are the easiest grenades to snipe due to their size.
