The Flag Kill Medal medal is awarded and achieved for killing an opponent by assassinating or beating down your enemy with the flag in your possession. You get this medal in addition to the Beat Down medal (or an Assassination Medal depending on where you hit you opponent). It is represented by a white eight-pointed star with a red flag in the middle.

The Flag Kill medal is awarded by killing an opponent by meleeing them with a flag in your possession. In Halo 4 the medal is also awarded for kills scored with a pistol dual wielded with the flag.
The medal can also be earned by shooting a weapon (such as a Rocket Launcher), grabbing the flag before it hits the target, and killing the target with the rocket.

In Halo 4 it is represented by a white flag and skull with an 'X' on the forehead imposed on a blue circle and grey four-pointed star. In prior games it is represented by a white eight-pointed star with a red flag in the middle.

The medal is generally received with a Bone Cracker, Beat Down or Assassin medal, but can also be earned by attacking an enemy with a delayed weapon and grabbing the flag before it hits the target. Methods for this include slow moving projectiles, such as Rockets, or using grenades.

*In the Halo 3, Halo: Reach Career Stats at Bungie.net and Halo Waypoint, the description for the flag is "It's right next to the headlight fluid". This is homage to the series Red vs Blue, where the Red Team sends the rookie, Donut, on a fool's errand for elbow grease and headlight fluid. Instead, he mistakenly goes to Blue Base and takes their flag.
