Source caption | For the late-nighters among us, a Halo 4 post :) Some of my favorite work to do were paintovers of Paul Pepera’s FUD block ins. For those aspiring concept artists, this is something very often done with environment art. Or well, game art in general. There is a “block-in” (or a ‘proxy’ or a 'grayworld’ or a 'whitebox’ or a 'temp’) geometry of an asset or environment and you get to go over it and design stuff! It’s incredibly fun and quick and can be really nice when you just give it a little hint of light. |
