==Overview==
===Events prior to Season 5: Reckoning===
Events in ''Halo Infinite'' are around a theme. Some events have event passes, which are free [[Battle Pass]]es that are active alongside any other owned Battle Passes for a limited time. Each event [[Challenges/Halo Infinite|challenge]] that is completed advances the Battle Pass by one full level. As there are a limited number of event-specific challenges available while the event is active, completing the entire Battle Pass requires participating in multiple events over the course of a season. During the event, the [[Shop]] also features several bundles that are thematically related to the event. 

===Operations===
Events were replaced by Operations in [[Season 05: Reckoning]]. Operations feature free 20-tier passes, with a premium upgrade alongside it; the premium upgrade costs 500 Halo Credits rewards one item and unlocks the fourth active challenge slot, while the Premium Pass Bundle costs 2000 Halo Credits and immediately unlocks all 20 tiers. Each Operation lasts anywhere from four to six weeks. Operation passes are featured alongside the main season’s battle pass, but they must be equipped in place of the seasonal Battle Pass; as such, players cannot make progress on both passes at the same time. Once the four to six week period ends, the Operation is made available in the [[Shop]] for purchase. Only [[Winter Update]] was retroactively turned in an Operation; all remaining prior events cannot be accessed or purchased.{{Ref/Reuse|operations}}
