In contrast to humanity's regular use of artificial intelligences in cyberwarfare and intrusion roles, the Covenant considered AIs to be dangerous and vile heresies,{{Ref/Book|Id=Enc22P217|Enc22|Page=217}} citing [[Mendicant Bias|a particular AI]]'s betrayal of the Forerunners.{{Ref/Novel|Id=ch188|CH|Page=188}} However, due to their systems' vulnerabilities to incursion by human AIs, the Covenant unvaulted counter-intrusion constructs such as the "[[Seeker (AI)|Seeker]]" in an attempt to combat this issue. Created in ages long past, these constructs are much less sophisticated than their human-made counterparts. On one occasion, the Covenant managed to capture [[Ascendant Justice's AI|a human AI]] and attempted to isolate and convert the machine.
