A [[Covenant]] Storage Device is a form of storage for Covenant information, similar to the [[UNSC|UNSC's]] own [[Data Crystal Chip|Data Crystal Chips]]. The block consists of a brick shaped-chunk of a superdense material unknown to [[Humans]]. Its capacity is apparently unknown also, but it is likely to be numeral.<ref name="kilo">[[Halo: The Flood]], page 189</ref>

Though Humans do not fully understand the technology, they are still capable of retrieving the data from these devices, or their [[AI]] constructs can at least.<ref name="kilo"/>
