Chill Out is a multiplayer map in Halo: Combat Evolved. Being one of the smallest multiplayer maps in the game, Chill Out is well suited for small, preferably team-based games between two and eight players.
2-8 players</center>

Summary
Summary
Chill Out is a small map, consisting of an asymmetrical set of rooms inside a Covenant ship or structure. The floor of the area is covered with a layer of mist, and much of the architecture is damaged and lays in pieces.
Chill Out is a multiplayer map in Halo: Combat Evolved. It is considered the best map for 2v2 and 1v1. Based on a floor of steaming nitrogen and Covenant-made rooms, it is an extremely varied map and not symmetrical providing a very good multiplayer experience.

This map is both for Xbox and PC/Mac. The level does not have any bases, as they are rooms. It is a very closed in map, making great combat with minimal people. Also, with the unique bridge with one part higher then another and varied symmetry makes it a unique CTF map, as one team usually does more defense than the other.

The map is available both for Xbox and PC/Mac. The area does not have any bases, but with its broken bridge and asymmetrical design, Chill Out makes a unique CTF map, as one team usually has a larger area to defend than the other.
Combat
Regular Weapon Locations
*Assault Rifle - lower pink room
*Needler - on teleporter exit bridge
*Pistol - in lower Rocket Launcher room
*Plasma Rifle - top level in Rocket Launcher room and in lower fog room
*Rocket Launcher - loft in main interior room
*Shotgun - in Overshield room
*Sniper Rifle - in Active Camouflage room

Tactics
Strategic Points
* Due to the close-quarters nature of the map, the shotgun, plasma rifle, and needler are ideal weapon choices, but the sniper rifle, rocket launcher, and pistol are, as usual, the most effective methods of killing opponents at anything farther than point-blank range.
*The Bridge (Recognized by a split into two sections leading out from each base)
* There are several tall structures in the main room, one of which contains the rocket launcher.
*Ladders (Leading out from doorways providing overviews of courtyard areas)
*The Window(See upper right side of the above picture) (The large elevated open 'window' that overlooks both large connected rooms. With some skill, you can jump onto this from the ledge that spawns the rocket launcher.  This 'window' is very thin and you can easily fall off.  You will also be very visible with no cover if someone knows what your doing.  However, if they do not, you have free range to shoot any unsuspecting players on the ground on both sides, anyone on the bridge on both sides, and even fire on people coming out of the elevated hallway with the teleporter.

Trivia
Good Gametypes
* There is a window near the sniper rifle and teleporter exit that has a secret room on the other side. The only way to get into the room is by using the Teleporter glitch to get to the top of the level and falling in.
*16 players (minimum of 12)
* The name "Chill Out" could be a reference to the fact that the floor seems to be covered in fog, indicating that the area is extremely cold. The fog and low temperatures may result from a nitrogen or supercooled methane leakage.
*Rockets Who doesn't love em? Although the game becomes really hard for the reds to play if the game is CTF, because blue's can simply come over the bridge and shoot right into the red base, causing you to die even before you get a chance to walk away.
* This map was remade as the free DLC map, Cold Storage, for Halo 3.
*Oddball Real challenge to win.
* Chill Out was later remade in Halo 5: Guardians, as a free DLC map usually found in the Super Fiesta playlist. It is one of several Halo: Combat Evolved multiplayer map remakes in Halo 5: Guardians.
*Team Slayer Fight for the bridge.
** One of the changes from the original includes a hologram of the Prophet of Truth.
*CTF Extremely fast paced- but try it with no shields. The Active Camo helps a lot.
