Unlike the other map packs, the Champions Bundle was not a part of the War Games Map Pass, and was launched individually for 800 Microsoft Points. The [[Weapon skins (Halo 4)|weapon skins]] and [[Armor customization (Halo 4)|armor permutations]] available with the Champions Bundle were not included within the ''Halo 4'' component of ''[[Halo: The Master Chief Collection]]'' at launch, though the two maps and Ricochet gametype were. The launch of [[Series 4: Reclaimer]] in November [[2020]] saw the inclusion of all armor and [[Weapon skins (Halo 4)|weapon skins]] from across the bundle's various components within the collection, with 343 Industries expressing interest in bringing the Bullseye Pack and Infinity Armor Pack permutations to the game as well. ==Production notes==
During the “What’s Next: Halo 4 Summer 2013″ panel at RTX 2013, 343 Industries' promotional art for the bundle featured the "Bones" and "Striped" [[M395 DMR]] weapon skins as part of the content update's bonus content. The "Bones" skin would later be relegated to a code found with the CIO Spartan in [[McFarlane Toys/Halo 4 Series 2|Series 2 of McFarlane's ''Halo 4'' line of figures]], while the "Striped" skin could be unlocked through earning certain achievements in ''[[Halo: Spartan Assault]]''. Eventually, both would be available in ''Halo: The Master Chief Collection'' with the release of Season 7: Elite. Additionally, people present at RTX 2013 were able to receive a promotional poster for the Champions Bundle, which included an overview of the expansion's contents.

The first trailer for the Champions Bundle DLC showed [[PREFECT-class Mjolnir|the PREFECT armor]] with a different design on the armor's wrists, an added decal on the helmet's forehead, and the player's secondary color applied to their player model's fingertips. These would be altered for the DLC's launch.

With its launch in 2013, Champions Bundle DLC items, including the new armor sets, weapon skins, and the Resistor tactical package, could not be utilized in Spartan Ops. Instead, weapons would revert to their default appearance and armor pieces would be replaced by [[RECRUIT-class Mjolnir|Recruit]] armor. Equipping Resistor caused the tactical package to automatically revert back to "None". While this was never updated for in the original version of ''Halo 4'', its port on ''Halo: The Master Chief Collection'' would eventually allow for all armor, weapon skins, and tactical packages to be used in Spartan Ops.
