Meanwhile, Horvath was teleported to a partially collapsed mountain facility somewhere far away from the beacon. He collapsed from his injuries and spent the next day comatose—half from exhaustion—before coming to again. Horvath's armor and Spartan augmentations kept him from dying of exposure during this time. Alone again, he explored the area and found the wreckage of one of the ''Infinity's'' shuttles and, although there were no survivors, he recovered a week's worth of water, rations and weapons. On [[2560#May|May 25]],{{Ref/Note|While the audio log in ''Halo Infinite'' is dated May 26, ''Halo: The Rubicon Protocol'' retconned the date to May 25. Halopedia uses the novel as the most up-to-date depiction of the events.}} Horvath issued a final transmission, announcing that he planned to move away from Banished territory to search for survivors. He also made an open plea to the [[John-117|Master Chief]] that they need him now more than ever. {{Ref/Novel|Id=rp39|RP|Chapter=39}}{{Ref/Game|Hi|Audio log (Halo Infinite)#Scattered 2|Spartan Audio log|Detail=Scattered #10 - Message in a Bottle}}
