A '''battle occured in Sector Six''' between [[United Nations Space Command|UNSC]] and [[Covenant Empire|Covenant]] forces during the [[Battle for Earth]].<ref name="combat"/><ref name="lastonestanding"/> It took place near the [[Pakistan]]-Afghanistan border.<ref group="note" name="encycnote"/>

The [[Orbital Drop Shock Trooper|ODST]] pair, [[T. Rymann|Bravo-21]] and [[S. Hartley|Bravo-22]], were tasked with calculating the crash site of the [[John-117|Master Chief]] who was on his way to Earth, having jumped out of the [[Forerunner Dreadnought]]. Meanwhile, a [[UNSC Marine Corps|Marine]] [[Battalion]] was assigned the objective of holding off the Covenant forces in the area until the Spartan's re-entry. After retrieving a [[laser designator]], a Pelican dropship dropped off a Warthog for the two ODSTs, who drove it along a highway to the rest of the Marines' position in Sector Six. Bravo-22 was injured during the ride by a [[Type-25 Carbine|Spiker]] round, but he was able to carry out the mission.<ref name="combat">''[[Halo: Landfall]]'', [[Halo: Combat|Combat]]</ref>

Upon arriving at the Marines' position, the ODSTs joined them in holding the Covenant off until the Master Chief's re-entry. A Phantom arrived, dropping off Covenant reinforcements, including a [[Jiralhanae Chieftain]].  Bravo 21 used a sniper rifle to kill at least two other Jiralhanae, but was then ambushed by the Chieftain, who killed Bravo-21 with its Gravity Hammer. Meanwhile, the rest of the Marines were being overrun by the Covenant forces, including air support by Banshees. Bravo 22's wounds were treated by [[Hospital Corpsman|Corpsman]] [[R. Coney]], while the rest of the Marines started to fall back. One Marine took over the Warthog's gun and used it to kill two more Jiralhanae before being killed by Spiker rounds from a third Brute. The same Brute then shot another marine, [[Scottlee]], in the arm, pinning him against a wall. Scottlee managed to use his free arm to shoot back, killing the third Jiralhanae.  As Coney was cutting Scottlee loose, Bravo 22 opened the laser designator and successfully tracked Spartan-117's re-entry vector. After succeeding in their mission, the UNSC survivors fell back into a bunker.  The Jiralhanae Chieftain charged them, but one of the marines killed the Chieftain with a rocket launcher moments before the bunker doors slammed shut.<ref name="lastonestanding">''[[Halo: Landfall]]'', [[Halo: Last One Standing|Last One Standing]]</ref>
