==Battle==
Alluvion was first discovered by the [[Covenant]] in [[2541]] by scouting patrols. One year later, in [[2542]], the colony was attacked by the Covenant. The [[United Nations Space Command]] managed to defend the planet with a substantial military force, keeping the Covenant at bay for weeks. However, a Covenant support fleet arrived and severed Alluvion's critical support lines, and the colony soon fell to the Covenant shortly after. The Covenant [[glassed]] major population centers and [[spaceport]]s on the planet, leaving few survivors in its wake.{{Ref/Reuse|universe}} Alluvion would continue to be glassed into [[2543]].{{Ref/Reuse|Enc22}} 

The Covenant were in some part after the [[Forerunner]] [[Alluvion Research Center|complex]] under the [[Sundark Sea]].{{Ref/Reuse|alluvionenc}}

Spartan [[Gabriel Thorne]]'s [[Thorne family|parents]] were [[UNSC Army]] officers stationed on the planet at the time. They, along with Alluvion's human population, died when the Covenant glassed the planet.{{Ref/Reuse|HE7}} [[Edward Buck]] participated in the battle.{{Ref/Reuse|lootcrate2}}
