#REDIRECT Plasma battery
H2

The Battery Crate is a Covenant ground container.
Introduction
Roughly rectangular in size, purple in color, and inlaid with luminous electronics, they are highly explosive, detonating upon fire.

They are believed to be the Covenant analog for the UNSC fusion coil, and have the same explosive properties, except the detonation of a battery crate results in a cyan plasma explosion, not an orange one. The detonation resulting in destruction is sufficient enough to severely wound or kill individual Elites or Brutes, as well as entire clutches of Grunts and flocks of Jackals.

Miniature Battery Crate-like Device
In the campaign of Halo 3, there also appears to be a miniature battery crate like device, that may or may not be Covenant in origin, but has similar explosive properties. The resulting explosion from destruction is not as massive as its larger cousin and therefore not apt to eliminate more heavily armored targets, but the blast is sufficient enough to wound or even kill unshielded opponents such as Grunts or Jackals.

In Forge, you can add this object in Snowbound, and it's name is Camping Stool.

((NOTE: It is recommended that this section become it's own article once more information and a name for this device is found.))

Appearances
Battery crates are ubiquitous, and a substantial number are found at all Covenant troop concentrations. The list below is incomprehensive.
Campaign
*Outskirts
**"Sniper Alley"
**Once you have got a Warthog, enter the tunnel after the beach. Follow through until just before you reach the group of Covenant with a Shadow.
*Metropolis
**On the platforms above where you get a Gauss Warthog.
*Uprising
**Last Brute checkpoint before Brute Encampment - The Brutes set up a minefield of explosive battery crates so that when the Arbiter drove by, they would detonate the crates and kill the Arbiter.
**Brute Encampment - On the frontal side, in the central armory section, and on the back side.
*The Great Journey
**On the second floor of the first Brute-controlled room of the Bastion of the Brutes.
**On the far side of the bridge in the second Brute-controlled room of the Bastion of the Brutes.

Multiplayer
*Midship - 3x Battery Crates
