Barroth earned the title of [[Arch Khordat]] for his exceptional [[sniper|marksmanship]], garnering the respect of many [[Kig-Yar]] [[treasurehawks]] and raiding [[krewes]]. His reputation of holding a virtually unblemished accuracy record eventually attracted the attention of the [[Banished]]. Barroth was recruited into their ranks and initiated as a [[Bloodstars#Banished|Bloodstar]], with the hopes of forging him into a lethal [[Spartan Killer]];{{Ref/Reuse|Target06}} Barroth himself held the same ambitions to join the [[Hand of Atriox]].{{Ref/Reuse|CF154}}

Serving within the [[Sclera of Chu'ot]], Barroth participated in the [[Installation 07]] [[Battle for Zeta Halo|conflict]] in [[2560]].{{Ref/Reuse|Hi}}{{Ref/Reuse|Target06}} By [[2560#May|May 28]] of that year, he was responsible for the deaths of at least 271 [[UNSC]] personnel. At some point during the conflict, Barroth spotted an [[M15 Razorback]], being driven by the [[SPARTAN-II program|Spartan-II]] [[John-117]] towards [[FOB November]]. Barroth recognized an opportunity to kill the Spartan; though, rather than warning his comrades at the Banished-occupied FOB or those at [[Riven Gate (location)|Riven Gate]], Barroth—who wanted the glory of the kill and the potential to join the Hand of Atriox—decided to observe the Spartan's action in combat and wait for the Spartan's companions to be killed in the assault on the FOB.{{Ref/Reuse|CF154}} Although Barroth commanded his troops to prepare an ambush,{{Ref/Reuse|CF154}} he was later killed by John-117.
