It saw action during the late [[Insurrection]] and well into the [[Human-Covenant War]], despite diminished popularity after the introduction of the [[BR55 battle rifle]]. *Higher initial number of rounds, from 45 to 60
*Higher total maximum rounds in reserve, from 60 to 75

*1.4x iron sight magnification replaced by the 1.6x [[Evo Holopoint]] magnification
*Players can be descoped
*Reworked reticle

In multiplayer, when players pick up or spawn with the Bandit Evo, their [[Weapon customization|customization options]] are automatically applied to the weapon model.

Following the introduction of the M392 Bandit into ''[[Halo Infinite]]'' with [[Season 03: Echoes Within]], [[343 Industries]] felt that the weapon required further tweaking in order for it to become a starting weapon in competitive modes. Evidence of its existence was discovered by dataminers several months before the weapon was officially unveiled in September 2022, a fact that [[343 Industries]] acknowledged during the reveal presentation.{{Ref/Reuse|InfSept2022Update}}

The Bandit is only available in ''Halo Infinite's'' multiplayer portion, and was not added to the campaign with Season 03's release. This weapon currently doesn't have variants at all.
