| The area Attack on Sanctum sits, was once a lush garden and the site of towers of glass and steel in [[The Former Age|an age now forgotten]]. These towers once helped launch the [[Sangheili]]'s first interplanetary probes. The towers were abandoned as the area's climate shifted, [[gravitics|antigravity]] was discovered, and Sangheili colonization took place. They eventually eroded away and following the [[War of Beginnings]], new [[Ascetics|ascetic]] temples were built in the area in what was then desert.
