Unlike | Offensively, the Anlace-class differs significantly from other contemporary UNSC frigate classes such as the Strident or Paris. Unlike prior models, the Anlace eschews projectile or missile-based armaments and instead relies entirely on directed energy weapons for sustained combat operations between resupply. The frigate's primary weapon is a turreted Helios capital-scale high-energy laser, with four additional Magna-320 capital-scale pulse lasers as a secondary outfit. The vessel is equipped with eight point-defense laser arrays for attacking smaller general targets.
It's likely the Anlace was designed this way which explains it's small size, since spinal mount, coils and mechanical loading equipment for a MAC take up significant portion ships internal volume, the Anlace thou small is equally capable despite it's small size. Since "Energy" is it's ammunition, it requires no munitions thus is unburdened by logistical concerns of running out of "Ammunition" as well as the volume constraints of holding that material.
