Across the surface of [[Forerunner]] [[Installation 00]] is a network of '''access points''', [[teleporter]]s designed to transport [[Sentinel]]s to a newly deployed [[Halo Array|Halo installation]] in order to finalize preparations.<ref name="The Foundry">'''[[Halo Wars 2]]''', campaign level, ''[[The Foundry]]''</ref> In [[2559#May|May 2559]], the deployment of [[Installation 04C]] activated the Ark's access points. The [[Covenant]] [[Covenant remnants|splinter group]], the [[Banished]], used one of these access points to instantaneously send reinforcements to the ring during their [[Battle of Installation 00 (2559)|battle]] against the [[UNSC]] [[UNSC Armed Forces|forces]] of the ''[[UNSC Spirit of Fire|Spirit of Fire]]''. Realizing this, [[UNSC Marine Corps|Marines]] led by [[Spartan]]s [[Douglas-042]] and [[Alice-130]] fought their way to the access point, using a commandeered [[Type-47 Scarab|Scarab]] to neutralize most of the surrounding Banished forces. Alice and Douglas then proceeded through the teleporter to assist the UNSC forces on the ring and set an explosive charge to destroy the access point behind them, halting the Banished reinforcements.<ref name="The Foundry" />
