The Zealot participated in the [[Battle of Circinius IV|attack]] on [[Circinius IV]] in [[2526]]. Shortly after [[SDV-class heavy corvette|Covenant corvette]]s destroyed the planetary [[space elevator]] being used to evacuate [[Corbulo Academy]]'s cadets, this Zealot led a ground assault on the Academy. The Zealot personally initiated the attack by using its [[energy sword]] to demolish the school's statue of General Corbulo, the Roman general whom the Academy was named after.<ref name="part3">'''[[Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn]]''', ''Part 3''</ref> The Covenant troops, consisting mostly of [[Kig-Yar]], soon overwhelmed the [[Marine]]s and [[ODST]]s protecting the Academy.<ref name="part4">'''Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn''', ''Part 4''</ref>   

Once most resistance was neutralized, the Zealot began hunting down the surviving cadets for sport. Under the cover of [[active camouflage]], the Zealot killed Cadet [[Junjie Chen]] in the dorms with its energy sword, then pursued the remaining cadets to the weapons locker, where it killed Cadet [[Walter Vickers]] with a [[plasma rifle]]. The Zealot soon cornered remaining cadets [[April Orenski]], [[Thomas Lasky]], [[Chyler Silva]], and [[Michael Sullivan]], and was about to kill them too when [[SPARTAN-II program|SPARTAN]] [[John-117]] suddenly appeared from behind and stabbed the Sangheili in the back of the neck with a [[combat knife]], killing him.<ref name="part4"/>

The Zealot wore an [[Zealot#Hesduros-inspired design|armor]] whose design specifically hailed from [[Hesduros]], a [[Sangheili colony]]. He armed himself with an [[Type-1 energy sword|energy sword]] and a [[Type-25 plasma rifle|plasma rifle]], and was equipped with [[active camouflage]].
