UNSC In Amber Clad: Difference between revisions

As of [[BC 2552|October 2552]], ''In Amber Clad'' remained under the command of Miranda Keyes. The ship was docked with [[orbital defense platform]] ''[[Cairo Station (station)|Cairo Station]]'' when the [[Fleet of Sacred Consecration]] appeared in the [[Sol system|system]] and engaged Earth's defenses; thus, igniting the [[Battle for Earth]]. [[UNSC Home Fleet]] ships opened fire on the [[Covenant]] armada, and after the Home Fleet took down the shields of the {{Pattern|Syfon|assault carrier}} ''[[Day of Jubilation]]'', Keyes requested permission to engage with ''In Amber Clad''.

 

UNSC Fleet Admiral Lord Hood refused this request, as the frigate would have been heavily outgunned by the Covenant assault carrier. Instead, the [[John-117|Master Chief]], after deactivating the Covenant [[antimatter charge|bomb]] on ''Cairo Station'', launched an attack using the bomb. The Master Chief used the bomb to destroy ''Day of Jubilation'' from the inside and then made a jump to the ''In Amber Clad'' which headed to the planet's surface to help in the defense against the ground forces of the ''[[Solemn Penance]]''.{{Ref/Reuse|cairo}}

As the ''[[Solemn Penance]]'' suddenly initiated a [[slipspace]] jump inside the city when the [[Prophet of Regret]] tried to flee the system, the ''In Amber Clad'' was one of the only vessels close enough to follow it.
