The Major rank and equivalent titles still see use in the wake of the [[Human-Covenant War]]. Like the Minors, Majors usually wield [[Type-25 plasma rifle|Plasma rifles]], occasionally [[dual wielding]] them, [[Type-51 plasma repeater|Plasma repeaters]] or [[Pulse carbine]], but can be encountered with [[Type-51 carbine|Covenant carbines]], [[Type-33 needler|Needlers]], [[Type-31 needle rifle|Needle rifles]], and many other equally or more powerful weapons, depending on the game.
