A small, [[slipspace]]-capable [[warship]], ''Gladius''-class heavy corvettes are only 243 meters in length with a mass of 36,000 metric tons. The hull of these corvettes are reinforced with [[titanium-A armor]]. These corvettes are outfitted with an extensive sensor suite that uses a combination of laser and radar scanners for actively detecting and tracking targets, while monitoring surrounding space for anomalous energy sources.<ref name="warfleet"/>

These corvettes are armed with a single [[Magnetic Accelerator Cannon|20DA1C2 MAC]], only two [[Archer missile#M58 Archer|M58 Archer missile]] pods, and a small network of [[M870 Rampart point defense gun]]s, used for defense against strikecraft and [[plasma torpedo]]es.
