N’tho ‘Sraom[1] is a male Sangheili (Elite) assigned to the Special Warfare Group of the Fleet of Retribution.

Background

'Sraom is the youngest member of his Special Operations unit and is one of a growing number of human sympathizers amongst the Sangheili youth. He is a fairly typical young male adult Sangheili - he began compulsory military service at the end of adolescence, and remains unmarried with no close, non-familial relationships outside of his martial order. N’tho Sraom refused to stand idly by while the Prophets replaced Sangheili units with Jiralhanae packs, and now bears deep resentment toward those Sangheili politicians who landed his kind in their current predicament.

Although N’tho ‘Sraom’s romanticized nationalism is emblematic of all Sangheili, he has developed a healthy respect for humanity—not for their physical abilities or martial prowess, but for their audacity and resolve.

N'tho also appears to have been vital in giving intelligence on Covenant military structure and tactics, such as information on the Chopper [2]

Speculation

N'tho 'Sraom is either the Elite on the far left or the Elite on the far right of the Master Chief, according to sources so far. Some speculate him to be the darker one due to his special ops status, while others speculate him to be the blue one due to his younger age and a correlation between young age and Minor Elite status.

Trivia

  • It should be noted that his name lacks the ee suffix associated with Elites in armed service. However when Rtas 'Vadumee was mentioned on Usze's page the ee suffix was also missing. This may be because the Elites are no longer listed in the Loyalist Covenant army, and no longer use the ee suffix.
  • N'tho 'Sraom will be a playable characer in Halo 3 as the third player character over either X-Box Live or System Link.
  • 'Sroam's forearm armour is decorated with Forerunner Glyphs, hinting at the possibility that the Elites have only rejected the Prophets, NOT The Forerunners. However it's a possible that the Forerunner Glphs have been adopted by the Elites (Sangheili) as their basis for writting and text.
