It is rather obvious that one set of armor is not going to last thousands of years without some fixing up or remaking completely. The article makes mention that, although being remade, the armor is not given technological upgrades. For example, Ripa 'Moramee led the invasions on Harvest and Arcadia with Generals reporting to him, much like a Commander and Chief, and appeared have been Arbiter for some time.
